3D illustration of Castle Purmersteijn
This is a 3D illustration I made of Castle Purmersteijn. The castle once stood in the municipality of Purmerend and is now a parking lot. For this illustration I used a publication by Archeology Center Huis van Hilde, published as the 2nd part in the series of North Holland Archaeological Publications. Furthermore, I based this illustration largely on an etching by Claes Jansz. Visscher (1617). This 3D illustration gives an impression of what the castle might once have looked like. The publication can be found here The print can be found here |
3D illustration of Castle Nuwendoorn
I made an illustration 3D of castle Nuwendoorn (now the ruin of Nuwendoorn). This illustration gives an impression of what the castle might have looked like. This castle of Floris V is probably build in 1282. The last two photos show how the ruin looks like today. What used to be the private quarters of the lord or lady of the castle is now a watchtower for visitors. For this illustration, I used the excavation report by Hollandia Archeologen B.V. (series 275) and the drawings by Marius Bruijn as references. Additionally, it is based on other castles built by Floris V, such as the Rijksmuseum Muiderslot. The ruins are owned and managed by the Stichting Monumentenbezit. |
Impression of a Roman temple
I made an illustration of a Roman temple of Sanctuary Herwen-Hemeling that was discovered in 2022 in Herwen (Gelderland). I based this illustration on the information I could find at the moment. This illustration gives an impression of what a temple might have looked like, but further research by RAAP will show what the temple actually looked like. |

Scientific rhinoceros illustration:
This is a 3D render of a rhino sculpture I made. I also made a version of the skeleton of the rhino with names of the bones.
